From failing timber walls and overgrowth to a clean, low-maintenance Mornington backyard and patio.
John and Gay's backyard had reached the point where it was no longer usable. Old timber retaining walls were failing, weeds had taken over, and the space felt cramped and run down.
The challenge was to completely reset the site and create a layout that looked sharp but stayed easy to maintain, with practical zones for everyday use and entertaining.
Dan removed the existing structures and vegetation, then rebuilt the space from scratch with a clear and cohesive plan. New retaining was installed to stabilize levels and open the yard up visually.
With the structure sorted, we finished the site with clean, low-maintenance surfaces and added a patio at the rear to give John and Gay a practical outdoor area they could enjoy year-round.
The result is a fresh, functional backyard that feels bigger, cleaner, and easier to live with. John and Gay now have a space that is simple to maintain and genuinely pleasant to spend time in.
"Our yard was fully trashed with retaining walls falling down. Dan ripped it all out, started fresh, and created something really clean and easy to use."
